Microwave power is an important parameter for microwave‐assisted pyrolysis of biomass. Basically, it changes the pyrolysis temperatures for the microwave‐assisted pyrolysis of a biomass feedstock. When microwave power increases, the microwave density of the cavity increases and the microwave energy absorption of the biomass feedstock becomes greater, making the interaction between the microwave field and biomass feedstock become more intensive. A higher microwave power therefore leads to a higher heating rate and a higher pyrolysis temperature.
